falukorv and turkish food.
Today I made rice and sausage stroganoff for the family.. It was my very first time and I´m not sure if I have ever tasted that before, or if I had it didn´t tast like that so it was very arduous thing to do cause I didn´t know what it should tast and look like :D And of course cause the recipe was in swedish.. So I used google translate alot and asked also the oldest boy, Alexander to explain those words I didn´t understand :D But I made it and it was delicious, I guess :D At least everybody said it was supa good and they eated all.. Or maybe they were just hungry.. Anyways I have made my firts falukorvstroganof, hehee :D
I´m not sure if it is just this family but does swedish really eat this much sausage? I´m not complaining just wondering.. I´m trying to do some other foods here also but there is falukorv everywhere :D I just didn´t know about falukorv before I came here, or ofcourse I had heard it in swedish class in Finland but I don´t remember I have ever eated it. I think we don´t even have all the recepies in Finland that they have here :DD
When I said to the family that we don´t eat falukorv in Finland or at least my family doesn´t, they were really suprised and asked me what sausage do we eat and how.. "normal sausage and grilled" I said :D I´m not used to eat sausage, I eat it only in summertime and only grilled. It´s not I don´t like it (ok, maybe I don´t that much..) but it´s just summerfood to me :D But at least when I come back home I can make all kind of falukorv foods, lucky meeee! ;D
And here is some pictures from Istanbul (about food ;D) where I was before summer visiting my uncle´s family. I have to say that they know how to eat in Turkey ;) Miss that superfresh portakal suyu (orange juice), so yummy!
